Karam F.A. Soliman is the Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Studies and a Distinguished Professor of Pharmacology at the College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Institute of Public Health of Florida A&M University (FAMU). Dr. Soliman received his MS and Ph.D. in physiology from the University of Georgia in 1971 and 1972, respectively. He started his job at FAMU in 1975, where he published extensively (244 research articles, two books, 16 book chapters, and six United States patents. Dr. Soliman serves on the editorial boards of Scientific Reports, Molecular Medicine Reports, Molecular and Clinical Oncology, and Molecules. During his tenure at FAMU, he was awarded US federal research grants totaling over $76 million, mainly from the US NIH. Dr. Soliman is a member of the American Association for Cancer Research, the American Society of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics, the American Society of Investigative Pathology, and the American Physiological Society.
