Dr. Veronika Frisova

Veronika Frisova is a fetal medicine specialist who is currently working in her private clinic Profema- Fetal Medicine Centre and as lecturer in the Palacky University in Olomouc (Czech republic). Moreover, as a FMF London trainer she is responsible for education and training for FMF certification of doctors both internationally as in Czech republic. Veronika Frisova was initially trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and fetal medicine in Czech Republic. In 2004 she was offered a fellowship at Professor Nicolaides at FMF and King's College Hospital, London, United Kingdom. She has worked for 2.5 years in London at Prof. Nicolaides receiving an extensive education and experience in the field of feto-maternal medicine including research. On the bases of her training in UK she was awarded Diploma in Fetal Medicine in 2008. After she returned back to Czech Republic in 2007 she started to work privately and as a FMF London trainer to give regular lectures and ultrasound courses. In 2008 she was offered a position in the Faculty Hospital Motol in Prague (2nd Medical faculty of Charles University), where she dealt with detailed diagnosis of congenital defects by the combination of 2D- and 3D/4D ultrasound and fetal magnetic resonance and obtained Ph.D. tittle based on this topic of her dissertation. Her main region of interest are combined imaging and complex diagnosis of congenital defects and education in the field of fetal medicine.
